  • The Role of Collaboration in Creating Lasting Change

At the heart of every meaningful transformation is collaboration—a conscious decision by organizations, governments, and individuals to work together for a shared vision. At Johnson Alice Foundation (JAC), we believe that lasting social impact is only possible when partnerships are formed around trust, empathy, and shared goals. From grassroots communities to global organizations, our work thrives because of the powerful alliances we’ve built across sectors.

Why Partnerships Matter
In Africa, the challenges facing vulnerable groups—especially widows, single mothers, children, and the elderly—are complex and interlinked. No single organization can solve these issues alone. That’s why JAC actively fosters partnerships that:

Leverage combined expertise and resources

Promote sustainable, community-driven solutions

Scale impact beyond what one entity can achieve alone

By building bridges between non-governmental organizations (NGOs), governmental bodies, corporate partners, and individuals, we are transforming charitable acts into long-term, systemic change.

Our Key Collaborations

  1. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
We work alongside other nonprofits in areas such as healthcare, education, and economic empowerment. These collaborations allow us to tap into diverse knowledge, increase efficiency, and reach remote communities.

Example: Through our partnerships with women-focused NGOs, we’ve expanded our Enterprise Program for Widows & Single Mothers, offering not just training but also emotional support and legal aid.

  1. Government Agencies
We align our programs with national development goals by working with local and federal governments in Nigeria and across Africa. These collaborations ensure regulatory support, legitimacy, and access to public infrastructure.

Example: In partnership with state health ministries, we’ve delivered free medical treatment to over 2,000 underserved individuals in rural communities.

  1. Corporate Partners & Local Businesses
Private-sector support plays a critical role in sustainability. From donating supplies to funding startup kits for micro-enterprises, our corporate allies help bring projects to life.

Example: With the support of corporate sponsors, we distributed over 500 school kits to children in under-resourced schools in 2024 alone.

  1. Volunteers and Individual Donors
Behind every successful initiative are passionate individuals—volunteers who give their time and donors who give from their hearts. Your contributions allow us to stay rooted in our mission and expand our reach.

Example: Over 150 volunteers joined our recent community outreach in Abuja, providing medical care, educational support, and food supplies to more than 800 beneficiaries.

A Model That Works
Our collaborative approach follows a Participatory Development Model, where local voices guide our programs. We don’t just work for communities—we work with them. Every project begins with listening, involves stakeholders at every stage, and ends with empowerment.
